The Seed Council is an Industry Segment Council (ISC) within the AgGateway organization. The Seed Council provides the organizational structure that allows the Seed industry segment to maintain autonomy and control over their eBusiness priorities and projects and any other projects approved by The Seed Council. The Seed Council was formed shortly after AgGateway was established in November 2005. There are currently eleven participating council member companies with a council membership of twenty participating individuals.

Mission

The Seed Council will expand eBusiness participation and drive business value within our industry segment by sponsoring projects, growing membership and promoting the value of eBusiness. 

Goals & Objectives

The Seed Council’s objectives are as follows:

• Promote eBusiness projects to ensure at least one project is active at all times.  Projects may be eBusiness implementations or projects “under study”, such as developing business case and assessing viability.
• Expand membership annually with focus on each channel within our segment including manufacturers, distributors and retailers. Annual growth target may be reviewed on an annual basis.
