Implementation
While AgGateway values the development and use of eBusiness standards and databases highly, one of the primary purposes for the organization to exist is to help enable AgGateway Members to implement those eBusiness technologies. In order to realize the benefits of membership in AgGateway, members must be actively using and implementing the standards.
Using Projects for Implementation
Over the years, we have learned that companies can often reduce implementation costs significantly by joining together in "implementation projects" rather than trying to implement with trading partners one by one. For that reason, AgGateway sponsors and supports implementation projects by providing project coordination, communications, and other administrative functions for the projects. Projects are typically initiated by Industry Segment Councils.
