AgGateway Recognizes Leaders at 2016 Annual Conference
AgGateway Press Release

At the Annual Conference last month, AgGateway honored individuals and companies that are advancing efforts to promote, enable and expand eBusiness in agriculture.

Dennis Daggett, Senior Vice President of Strategic Initiatives at ProAg, received the AgGateway Ron Storms Leadership Award, the organization's top honor. The award recognizes repeated, outstanding efforts by an AgGateway volunteer member in promoting collaboration among AgGateway teams and advancing initiatives to enable eConnectivity. In presenting the award, 2015 Ron Storms recipient Lori Edwards of Syngenta described Daggett as a visionary who sees the broader possibilities when it comes to eConnectivity in agriculture, and a leader who is always up for new challenges.

"He actively encourages others to come to the table to participate. He has a passion for his work and for building consensus," Edwards said. "He also has a keen understanding of government regulation in agriculture, and knows the industry will benefit by staying on top of that regulation - especially when it comes to eConnectivity. So he has forged relationships within key agencies, especially within the U.S. Department of Agriculture."  > Continue reading...

AgGateway Announces 2017 Board of Directors and Leadership
By Susan Ruland, AgGateway Communications Director

AgGateway's 2017 board and council leadership are ready to begin work on January 1. In announcing the leadership at the Annual Conference, President and CEO Wendy Smith reminded the membership of our new organizational structure, designed to better accommodate AgGateway's significant growth in recent years. The new structure allows council leadership to focus on operational activities of their councils, while providing for a board focused on overall strategic planning and management (Strategic Board) and a complementary board focused on day-to-day organizational operations (Operational Board).

"This new structure accommodates our growth and better positions us for a vibrant future in enabling eConnectivity," said AgGateway President and CEO Wendy Smith. "We have an exemplary slate of directors and leaders moving into 2017, and I'm excited about the sharpened focus we'll be able to give to increasing eConnectivity in the ag industry. AgGateway and its members thank these individuals and the companies they work for, which have recognized how essential eConnectivity is to the ongoing success of the ag industry."  > Continue reading...

Two New Resources on the Value of eConnectivity
By Susan Ruland, AgGateway Communications Director

AgGateway members are encouraged to review these two new resources on the power of eConnectivity. These and other resources can be found in the "Communications Kit" section of the AgGateway website.

1) AgGateway's Ag Industry Identification System (AGIIS):A Critical Resource for Your Agri-Business. This new video, less than 5 minutes long, features compelling testimonials on the value of eConnectivity - and the role of AGIIS as an essential tool in eBusiness. Find it here.

2) Ag Retailer Flyer: Is Manual Data Entry Draining Away Your Efficiency? This new flyer, created for AgGateway's booth at the Ag Retailer Association Annual Conference & Expo earlier this month, speaks to those new to eConnectivity about the benefits of moving away from manual entry, and encourages participation in AgGateway's Ag Retail Council. Features testimonials from AgGateway members.   Find it here.

Are You Getting AgGateway eMail?
By Chris Crutchfield, AgGateway Member Services Program Manager

It was great to see everyone at the Annual Conference! It's always great to see so many people from different organizations, working collaboratively to further our mission. Now it's time to start thinking about the New Year and what we want to accomplish in 2017. One of our goals at Member Services is to make sure all of our members are receiving important email communications regarding AgGateway and AGIIS business. We've recently discovered that some of you may have inadvertently removed yourselves from our list - or you just never got added in the first place.

AgGateway uses the marketing tool Constant Contact to deliver member email communications and our monthly newsletter. If at any time in the past you have "unsubscribed" after receiving a communication or newsletter, Constant Contact prevents us from delivering any future communications to your email address. For example, if you received our newsletter and opted to "unsubscribe", you will no longer receive the newsletter, and you will no longer receive any other type of communication we send using Constant Contact.  > Continue reading...
