AGIIS Overview

AgGateway's Ag Industry Identification System (AGIIS) houses agricultural eBusiness reference data for industry subscribers. AGIIS provides a repository for industry common data elements and unique identifiers that serve as the fundamental building blocks for efficient electronic interactions between companies. Today, AGIIS contains 5.5 Million entities and 233,000 agricultural products such as identifiers for crop protection chemicals, seed and fertilizer products.

We've expanded access to AGIIS so that non-subscribers can access unique identifiers, with the goal of enabling the transition to digital agriculture. [For information on accessing and exploring AGIIS, see the resources in the right column.]

AGIIS is a “living” directory that is constantly being updated and enhanced. AGIIS features a Web interface that allows AGIIS subscribers to easily add and maintain products. With updated XML and CSV bulk file formats and new web services, users can now add and update large datasets.

Other enhancements include security features so that AGIIS subscribers can precisely specify which users can access their product information. Subscribers can manage security settings at a company and product level to fit any number of security needs and preferences.
