Registration Opens for AgGateway Virtual Mid-Year Meeting, July 7-10

Washington, D.C., June 18, 2020 – Registration is open for AgGateway’s Virtual Mid-Year Meeting July 7-10, which will feature an array of sessions and networking opportunities for companies seeking to realize the many benefits of digital agriculture. Details and a registration link are available on the Mid-Year Meeting page at www.AgGateway.org.

Registration is $175, covering all sessions offered in the 4-day period. Highlights of the conference include:

  • Perspectives on digital ag in the age of Covid 19, and AgGateway’s global activities in the months ahead, from AgGateway President and CEO Wendy Smith, and Board Chair Jeremy W. Wilson.
  • General session with Dr. John Fulton, Associate Professor of Research, Extension and Teaching at The Ohio State University, who will examine what is being used and what is still needed for in-field technology and grower-facing applications.
  • Four sessions from the Purdue Open Ag Technologies and Systems (OATS) Center, covering the current state of wireless communication tech and trends for rural broadband; development of grower-facing technology using a degree day application as an example; introduction to machine learning; and moving from precision ag to decision ag – the state of technology and data exchange, and where we go from here.
  • AgGateway Chief Technology Officer Jim Wilson will give a two-part session on interoperability terms, tools and requirements in a global context.
  • Break-out sessions including brainstorming and working sessions in ag retail, data privacy, crop protection, crop nutrition, seed, and precision and field operations.
  • The virtual meeting will also provide guided networking sessions among attendees.
