By José Alexandre Loyola, Director of AgGateway Latin American Steering Committee
Here are a few updates from AgGateway’s Latin America Region.
I was in San Nicholas, Santa Fé Province in Argentina March 11-12 to visit Expoagro (the largest agricultural fair in Argentina) with the aim of promoting AgGateway among companies and entities linked to precision agriculture and digital agriculture in that country.
I made new contacts and participated in meetings with exhibiting companies involved in agricultural machinery, precision agriculture and crop protection. Among the companies I visited with to share AgGateway activities were Plantium, Chaco Foreign Trade Chamber, Hi-Terra Agrotecnologias, Córdoba Cereal Exchange, Abelardo Cuffia, Auravant, Sima, Nesters, Leafagrotronics and the Precision Agriculture team of INTA. I also visited the booths of some of our members, including John Deere, Case IH, Topcon and Climate Corp., to invite these professionals from Argentina to participate together with AgGateway’s group of professionals from Brazil. The trip was very positive, with many contacts and good future prospects for membership and cooperation.
