From the President

The Value of our Global Focus

By Brent Kemp, President and CEO

When I’m asked to describe AgGateway as an organization, one thing I always emphasize is that we are international in scope. Going back to 2008, AgGateway board members and member companies were already identifying ways that the successes in both resource and relationship development achieved in North America could translate around the globe. In late 2013, the AgGateway Global Network was born. And five years ago, the Europe, América Latina, and North America regions came together into our current structure in 2020. Read more >

Progress Marches on Across Working Groups

By Ben Craker, Portfolio Manager

Several of the working groups are doing their best imitation of a “Midwestern goodbye.” They seem like they are done and ready to move on, but then there is just one more thing to address. AGIIS Subset Spring Clean

By Chris Crutchfield, AGIIS Product Manager

After a long snowy winter in the Midwest, signs of spring are finally beginning to surface. The days are getting longer, trees are beginning to bud out, grass is greening up, and forgotten perennials are beginning to make another appearance. Europe Region

Seminar Wrap-Up

By Conny Graumans, Regional Director

AgGateway Europe welcomed members and digital connectivity stakeholders in the region to its Spring Seminar on 14 March in Berlin.

The meeting centered around two key topics: How to organize data flows in the agricultural production chains to support the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and sustainability reporting in general, and how to promote and support e-Invoicing so we will be ready for European and National legislation that makes B-to-B e-Invoicing mandatory in 2030. Establishing what eInvoicing standard needs to be used is most urgently needed in France, Belgium and Germany, where it will be mandatory beginning in in 2026. Read more >

ISO TC347 Plenary Recap: Connecting to AgGateway

By Ben Craker, Portfolio Manager

If you're active on LinkedIn, you may have noticed several posts from some of the AgGateway’s most dedicated volunteer members in mid-March. Many of us traveled to Berlin to attend the first in-person plenary session for the newly formed ISO Technical Committee 347, Data-Driven Agrifood Systems. This event was bustling, with about 50 attendees from 14 countries joining in person and a similar number participating online for the opening and closing sessions. Read more >

20th Anniversary

ADAPT and Learning to Get Along

By Paul Schrimpf, Marketing and Communications Director

Fifteen years ago, the early concepts of what would become the ADAPT Standard version 1.0 released last year was a glint in the eye of a handful of agriculture companies. And how we got where we are today is yet another testament to the value of AgGateway and its active member volunteers. Read more >
