As I write this article, AgGateway members have successfully completed mid-year meetings in North America and Europe. (LATAM held their most recent membership meeting in April of this year.) Volunteers came together to share successes, work on new challenges, identify emerging problems, and above all, to network. Hallway conversations and in-meeting discussions resulted in shared awareness of business needs and expectations and renewed personal connections. Read more >
Portfolio Update

As expected, the Mid-Year Meeting was a whirlwind of working group and other activity with several of us looking for a way to clone ourselves to take part in more than one session at a time. Through the jam-packed three days a lot of progress was made, and great discussions were had in the in-person meetings, which helped to clarify the direction of multiple projects.

Europe Region
Following a highly successful North America Mid-Year Meeting in Iowa, Brent Kemp and Jim Wilson crossed the Atlantic for a full week of meetings and networking in Europe.
AgGateway held its Europe Mid-Year Seminar at the Innovations Centrum Osnabrück, in Osnabrück, Germany, on 20 June 2024. The morning sessions included presentations on regional agritech efforts, updates on AEF’s AgIN and data sharing in smart farming contexts, AI and robotics research, and “farm data spaces” as a technical support to implementing the EU’s Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive. Days before the start of the North America Mid-Year Meeting last month, AgGateway announced the release of the ADAPT version 1.0 Standard. Reaction from the industry has been extremely positive, as organizations move forward with plans for implementing the new standard. Read more >
Outreach
The Tech Hub LIVE Conference and Expo returns to the Iowa Events Center in Des Moines this month, and representatives from AgGateway will be on hand to host meetings, network, and share the incredible work of our member volunteers.
