One of the most important messages we can send is a “thank you” note. Whether it comes as a card in the mail, or an email with three or four lines, or even a text message that’s just an emoji, a thank you is not simply a polite response. It’s an acknowledgement by someone that another’s gift of time or attention is seen and appreciated.
With that, as I think about the great work we have done as an organization over the first half of 2025, I’d like to extend some “thank you notes” to individuals and organizations that have helped to make it an exceptional year so far. Read more >

Well, I’ve got a little story to tell you about my rainy week here in central Illinois in late July. On the heels of a three-day period where no less than 6 inches of rain fell, my dad decided that we needed to patch a hole in the side of a barn that had been there the better part of two years. So at 5am I trod out to solve this problem that had pretty much become a 911 for my stubborn dad, and while walking through the pasture I successfully managed to stick a boot in mud so deep that I couldn’t extract it with said boot intact. After a good pull I was retracing my steps, now with one boot and one mud-soaked sock, back across the pasture to find myself another pair of boots. Read more >

After more than two years of review and revision, an updated version of the AgGateway white paper on Data Ethics and Stewardship is now available to the agriculture industry. Read more >
Working Group Update
AgGateway is inviting any interested stakeholder (member or nonmember) to join an open meetup to discuss requirements and scope for a new version of the Modus schema.
Over the last few years, work on Modus v2 method lists revealed additional topics and gaps in the current schema. These have been identified, along with several options for aligning the schema with other resources. The goal will be to agree on the needs and set scope for a future AgGateway working group that will develop the new schema. Read more >
