AgGateway member meetings abound in late spring and early summer. AgGateway America Latina met virtually in mid-May and AgGateway in Europe met at John Deere’s Mannheim location for presentations and a factory tour. Portfolio Update

The North America Mid-Year Meeting is traditionally a time of project turnover for the Portfolio Management Center. Conference time is a common milestone for working groups to target as an end point, using the chance to be in person to present their deliverables. Precision spraying – through ground spraying or by drones, site-specific data availability, and autonomous equipment – is changing what pesticide applications looks like. It is also identifying important considerations about the added value to farmers, including the value of capturing compliance information and tying it back to label requirements. Read more >
Outreach
A perhaps little-known fact is that it’s common for teams of AgGateway members to prepare papers and presentations for various technical conferences and industry events. This practice dates back to the SPADE days (you must be logged in to the Wiki to access this link) and earlier as teams began to work out ways to handle different issues related to agricultural field operations data interoperability.
