By Nikki Marshall, Member Services Program Manager
In just a few days, we will all be gathering at Prairie Meadows once again, for our Mid-Year Meeting. In preparation for this, I’d like to remind you of AgGateway’s mission: “To develop the resources and relationships that drive digital connectivity in global agriculture and related industries.”
As such, the Directory Oversight Committee (DOC), which consists of volunteers from member organizations, in different industry segments, works towards creating standards in regards to entity enumeration in AGIIS. Throughout the years, they, in conjunction with Member Services, have made changes and adjustments to further the mission of driving digital connectivity.
This year, at the Ag Retail session during our Mid-Year Meeting, two specific topics related to AGIIS will be discussed: one is DOC membership. There are openings in a couple of different industry segments, and we invite you to join our DOC committee meeting during the week to see if it would be a good fit for you. There are some requirements to joining the DOC – feel free to reach out to Member Services if this is something you are interested in.
Second, we will be talking about the appropriate format for entering farm management companies and their customers into the system. There is currently not a particular standard for this scenario, and we would like input from those of you working directly with these companies and their customers.
The Ag Retail session will be held on Tuesday, 9 June, at 10:30am. The Directory Oversight Committee will meet on Wednesday, 10 June, at 9:00am.
See you all soon!
