LATAM Region — Connecting at Agritechnica; Member Meeting Next Week

AgGateway Latin America leadership is putting the finishing touches on a busy 2023, and its celebration of five years as an AgGateway region. Coming off a major market outreach effort last month, we are preparing for a member meeting next week.

In November, we were pleased to represent AgGateway at Agritechnica in Hanover, Germany. AgGateway participated with an exhibit booth, where I was joined by our Regional Director for Europe, Conny Graumans, and Jim Wilson, our Chief Technology Officer. In addition to several contacts made and visits from members and attendees to our booth, we also participated in meetings with AEF as well as many companies and organizations during the week at this famous and huge agriculture fair.

On 5 December at AgGateway member Nutrien’s Experience Center in Limeira/Sao Paolo, we will have our last member meeting of this year. We plan to discuss ongoing projects and talk to some rural producers in the region who use digital agriculture that will tell us about their experiences and challenges in adopting technologies. We will also have the opportunity to personally present the 2023 AgGateway In Action Latin America Region award to Guilherme Panes from Jacto for his contributions to the entity over these 5 years. The award was first announced at the AgGateway Annual Conference in Nashville, Tennessee USA last month.
