A Busy Summer Leads to Big Plans for November

Central Iowa in the summertime is prime time for AgGateway, which not only features our own Mid-Year Meeting in June in Altoona, but also Tech Hub Live, which we attended last month. We were able to schedule a load of meetings with current and prospective members, and also talk about the work that you, our members, have done over the past two decades.

It's particularly exciting for us when we are able to engage with people and companies that don’t have a clear understanding of who AgGateway is and what we do. One of our meetings was with an organization that works with agriculture startups, and they were not at all familiar with AgGateway. She was excited to learn about the value that we could bring the companies she works with as far as sending, receiving, and sharing data.

Our summer experiences have also informed us as we think about the agenda for our Annual Meeting and Conference in Nashville this November, which is going to arrive in a hurry!

We are thrilled to welcome back Mary Kay Thatcher, who wowed attendees last year with her depth of knowledge in regulatory policy and the political temperature in Washington. The contentious mid-term elections will be just a week in the rearview mirror, and she will lay out what it all means for agriculture.

A second keynote presentation will be delivered by Paul Windemuller, a dairy farmer and nationally recognized authority on the integration of artificial intelligence in agriculture. This session promises to be a real conversation starter!

We’re also bringing back the roundtable discussions that were so successful at last year’s conference, and we will likely be tapping the shoulders of member volunteers to lead discussions … so be ready!

More information on the conference is coming soon, so stay tuned. But this is going to be an exciting, compelling event that you and your colleagues will not want to miss. I’m looking forward to seeing you all and shaking every hand in Nashville!
