The AgGateway Global Network held a workshop on October 13 in Berlin, Germany, hosted by Farm365. The workshop was well attended and well received. It featured a business track presented by Ben Craker (AGCO) and Andres Ferreyra (Ag Connections); and a technical track presented by Stuart Rhea (Ag Connections), Tarak Reddy (John Deere) and Tim Shearouse (John Deere). The covered topics ranged from ADAPT's support for extensive internationalization, to implementation tips, to software licensing. The ADAPT framework and its ISO and basic serialization plug-ins are covered by the Eclipse Public License; plug-in writers are free to choose their own licensing mechanisms. The ADAPT workshop was followed on October 14 by an AgGateway Europe meeting, where participants discussed next steps in the organization's SPADE precision ag and Identity projects. An especially valuable aspect of the meeting was its strong emphasis on collaboration and alignment among the different regional AgGateway projects and deliverables.
