Reliable Resources

By Chris Crutchfield, AgGateway

About seven months ago, both of my boys moved out of the house and got an apartment together. So far, so good. No one has moved back home! Because they took their furniture with them, we were left with two empty, extremely disgusting, bedrooms that needed a ton of TLC and all new furniture. After some scrubbing, spackling and paint, we headed to Ikea.

If you’ve ever built your own furniture from a box, you understand how time consuming and frustrating it can be, especially when the instruction manual is difficult to follow. Such was my case. But, at the height of my frustration, I remembered that some folks are kind enough to post “How To” videos on just about everything, and I could find a You-Tube tutorial showing how to assemble the same exact dresser. The gentleman in the video obviously experienced the same confusion and published this video so others would not have to go through the same pain. This tutorial was a life saver, and it saved me a lot of time and heartache.

With any project, it is important to have clear instructions and the right tools and resources available. Member Services understands this. As you begin or continue your eConnectivity projects, you need reliable resources at your disposal. For this reason, Member Services performs an audit of all resources on the AgGateway and AGIIS websites twice a year. Everything, from AGIIS Help Tutorials  and documentation under the Links menu in AGIIS, to documentation under the Get Connected menu on the AgGateway website, undergoes a thorough review to ensure they are accurate, up-to-date and easy to comprehend.

We understand you will have questions, but our hope is that our resources will guide you through the process, much like the gentleman in the You-Tube video did for me. eConnectivity documentation should not be as difficult to interpret as a furniture instruction manual, so if you see something in our documentation that we have missed or that would make it easier for others to comprehend, please don’t hesitate to let Member Services know by emailing Member.Services@AgGateway.org!
