BlockApps is a leading platform for agricultural innovation leveraging Blockchain technology. BlockApps has already spurred innovation in the agricultural industry through live, in-production product traceability applications and looks forward to helping stakeholders innovate other processes including:

  • Post-harvest inventory management
  • Food safety, transparency and trust
  • Price volatility protection
  • Land registration and transfer
  • Precision agriculture

BlockApps was founded in 2015 and has created several industry innovations including the Blockchain as a Service (BaaS) platform called STRATO. Since launching STRATO on Microsoft Azure in 2015, BlockApps has partnered with all major cloud platforms (Azure, Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform) and is a founding member of the Enterprise Ethereum Alliance (EEA), an open standard blockchain organization.

BlockApps was eager to join AgGateway, since BlockApps shares a mission of driving standards, with a strategic long-term focus in agriculture. BlockApps has significant experience contributing to and working in technical committees. As a founding member of the EEA, BlockApps recognizes the importance of industry standards and governance. AgGateway activities of particular interest to BlockApps at this time include crop protection and the work of the Standards & Guidelines Committee and Architecture Committee.
