As July wound down, AgGateway staff members were busy representing the association at an important industry technology event.
AgGateway was an official Supporting Organization of the Tech Hub Live Conference and Expo, July 19-21 at the Indianapolis Convention Center. Building on a successful inaugural event in 2021, Tech Hub Live’s attendance and number of exhibiting companies both increased by more than 20% in 2022 and drew attendees representing every segment of the crop production channel, with a focus on ag retailers and trusted advisers to farmers.
Representatives attending from AgGateway included Jeremy Wilson, COO and North American Director, Leslie Hedges, Director of Member Relations, and Paul Schrimpf, Director of Marketing and Communications.
Wilson delivered a breakout session presentation that highlighted the challenges and opportunities of interoperability, while sharing existing resources and core current and future projects underway at AgGateway. “The audience was very receptive, and I had several conversations after my talk with professionals that are very interested in what AgGateway has to offer,” he noted.
In addition to serving on the program advisory committee, Schrimpf moderated a panel discussion on technology return on investment. “It was outstanding to be a part of Tech Hub Live this year representing AgGateway,” he says. “The attendance was right in line with our target audience, and I was able to speak to many individuals and organizations about the work we do.”
“It was a great atmosphere for sitting down and talking with members who were exhibiting, hosting meeting rooms, and attending the conference,” notes Hedges.
“This year’s event provided a unique forum for attendees and exhibitors to learn and engage through a variety of experiences,” says Lara Sowinski, Group Editor of the CropLife Media Group and Co-Chair of Tech Hub LIVE. “Attendees were able to participate in more than 40 educational sessions, take in Tech Talks from progressive solution providers, participate in small roundtable discussion groups, and engage with representatives at the 80 exhibits on the show floor.”
The 2023 Tech Hub LIVE Conference and Expo will return to the Iowa Events Center in Des Moines, July 24-26.
