By Jose Alexandre Loyola, Regional Director
On January 31st, I participated in the IX Meeting of ABPSAP (Brazilian Association of Precision Agriculture Service Providers) in Goiânia/GO. I spoke to the attendees about the mission and goals of AgGateway, as well as current projects in the three regions of the world in which we are present to promote our work and encourage new memberships in 2024.
On February 20th we will have our first in-person meeting of members for 2024 at AgTech Garage in Piracicaba/SP. The meeting will feature lectures in the morning on Market Trends for the main Commodities with Itau BBAgro, and on the Market and Application Technologies of Bio-inputs in Brazil with researcher Marco Antônio Nogueira from Embrapa Soja. In the afternoon, we will have a presentation from our Portfolio Manager Ben Craker, who will share the status of AgGateway’s current projects in the three regions and more information about the Climate Data project that is starting.
Also, on February 26 we will be hosting a virtual internal workshop featuring a group of experts from five Soil Laboratories (IBRA, RIbersolo, Laborsolo, Exata and Base). They will discuss and technically validate some points of the Modus soil standard within WG11 (Data Integration of Solo - LatAm) under the coordination of Ronaldo Oliveira from Embrapa Solos.
Feel free to reach out to me via email (loyola@aggateway.org) with any questions.
