ICPA Coming to Brazil This July

In 2026 the Brazilian Association of Precision and Digital Agriculture (AsBraAP) and the International Society of Precision Agriculture (ISPA) will jointly hold the 17th International Conference on Precision Agriculture (ICPA) and the 11th Brazilian Congress on Precision and Digital Agriculture (ConBAP) in Porto Alegre (RS), at the PUC Events Center, from 13 to 16 July.

This will mark the first time that ICPA will be held outside of North America, and we are proud that our region has been chosen to host. The partnership with ConBAP promises to transform the event into a historical landmark, fostering scientific debates and boosting the agricultural technology sector in Brazil, as it will attract the global precision agriculture audience that usually attends the ICPA.

Lastly, I would like to thank the LATAM members who gathered in early December for the final in-person meeting of 2025, which was hosted by John Deere in Campinas/SP. We were pleased to welcome 23 members for a great networking and learning experience, and we gained some great insight into connectivity challenges and opportunities. Session topics included data interoperability with Jim Wilson; Data Ethics with Stuart Rhea, Steve Francis, and Ben Craker; and presentations from John Deere and its 3 partner entities Conectar Agro, ABPSAP, and AsbraAP, along with an invitation from Mr. Glauco Bertoldo to members regarding ISO/TC 347 in Brazil. We also had the pleasure of celebrating, with a cake, the 20th anniversary of the Global AgGateway organization, and 7 years in the region.
