AGIIS Directory Oversight Committee Seeks Volunteers

By Chris Crutchfield, AGIIS Product Manager

The Ag Industry Identification System (AGIIS) Directory Oversight Committee (DOC) is currently seeking volunteers. The DOC provides general oversight of the AGIIS Directory, including reviewing, approving, and prioritizing system enhancements, as well as ensuring that annual maintenance and disaster recovery exercises are completed.

Participation in the committee offers a valuable opportunity to help shape the future direction of AGIIS. Eligible volunteers must represent an AgGateway member organization that is also a Full AGIIS subscriber. Representation is limited to one individual per organization.

The committee currently includes 10 dedicated volunteers from across the agricultural industry. At this time, representation from the Crop Nutrition segment is especially needed. The DOC strives to reflect all industry segments so that every voice can influence the continued growth and improvement of AGIIS. With a capacity of 8–15 members, there is room for additional participants from across the ag industry.

The DOC meets on the second Wednesday of each month. In rare cases, an additional meeting may be held on the fourth Wednesday if needed. The typical time commitment is approximately one hour per month.

If you are interested in contributing to the ongoing success of AGIIS, we encourage you to contact the Member Services team to learn more. They can be reached at Member.Services@AgGateway.org or +1 (866) 251-8618.

We welcome your involvement and look forward to expanding representation across the industry!
