Heads Up Allied Providers: Seed Connectivity Session and Products & Services Directory

By Steve Daigle, Elemica, and Allied Providers Council Vice-Chair

Next Tuesday at Annual Conference, AgGateway will be hosting a “Seed Quick Connect” working session where seed manufacturers, distributors, retailers and allied providers will be discussing the challenges within the seed business and how electronic connectivity can help remove barriers to effective communication. If you’re involved in seed connectivity, don’t miss out on an opportunity to participate in the discussion!

The session – and Annual Conference in general – also offers a great opportunity to demonstrate and market your capabilities through the “Allied Providers – Products and Services Directory.” The Allied Providers Council maintains a product and service provider’s directory previously called the “Capabilities Matrix.” During the Mid-Year Meeting last June, the council agreed to rebrand the directory as the “Allied Providers Products and Services Directory,” and to kick-start an initiative to gain higher levels of involvement in order to benefit from the network effect of increased participation.

With that goal in mind, we extend an invitation directly to you, our Allied Providers! Taking advantage of this opportunity can be done in three simple steps:

  1. Identify contacts within your company to provide IT/marketing information on your capabilities.
  2. Gain access to the wiki through AgGateway Member Services. (Need a password? Go to the “Member Services Live” desk at conference, or contact them at Member.Services@AgGateway.org.)
  3. Populate the Allied Provider template on that wiki that Marilyn Hunter of AgGateway has provided.

Annual Conference is a great opportunity to populate the directory, because we’ll be talking about it throughout the week! Should you have questions, contact Steve Daigle at sdaigle@elemica.com or (617) 290-1989.
