By Dan Berne, AgGateway Portfolio Manager
AgGateway Europe has been bringing together companies and ag data specialists to standardize data exchange for farm inputs – specifically for seed, fertilizer and crop protection products. Today, multiple data exchange standards and definitions exist across Europe, often causing delays and inefficiencies, and hampering the ability to provide traceability. By standardizing on a data exchange standard, companies can better support sustainable agriculture, increase transparency, and improve interoperability, as well as provide opportunities to boost innovation.
AgGateway European Regional Director Conny Graumans is leading the effort and is working with the Portfolio Management Center to create two new Working Groups. One Working Group will focus on work orders and work records, the other on reference data. Look for more details at the Mid-Year Meeting and in the July newsletter. In the meantime, if you’re interested in joining these efforts, contact us at Member.Services@AgGateway.org.
