Entity ID In-Person Meeting to Address Key Industry Concerns

Following up on member feedback from a meeting of the Entity ID Working Group at the North America Annual Conference in Austin, TX, USA, AgGateway is pleased to announce that we will be facilitating a two-day, in-person meeting this February to address issues and concerns shared by key stakeholders.

When: 11-12 February 2025
Meeting commences on the 11th at 8:00 am, and concludes by 3:00 pm on the 12th

Where: AGDATA Offices
6801 Carnegie Boulevard | Suite 100 | Charlotte, North Carolina, USA

Meeting background and objectives

AGIIS and its predecessor services have served the industry well for decades. But with rising demands for increasingly sophisticated processes and data exchanges, it’s time for industry to revisit fundamental points and agree on:

1  the scope of our concern (e.g., product movement reporting, order-to-cash process)
a problem statement
the terms we use (within the scope specified above)
4  the things we need to identify and their identifiers
how things relate
the rules we use to determine how we manage data
the rules we use to identify problems with our data (e.g., duplicates)
the actions we take when we identify problems (i.e., how we fix problems)

By the end of the meeting, we will have:

  • achieved points 1-5
  • compared the results to how AGIIS is architected and operates today
  • considered options for how to address any gaps or misalignment

The full agenda is under construction and will be released as soon as possible.
