Kahler Automation has been a member of AgGateway for several years and gets the most out of its membership through active participation in working group activities and attending the two annual meetings.
“We’ve assigned key personnel to contribute to AgGateway working groups in areas of agriculture that align with our business and the needs of our customers,” says Kahler Automation Vice President of Business Development Colt Silvers. “For example, the work on MixTicket has been of significant interest, and we’ve been pleased to contribute our people and expertise to shape the future of agtech standards in this area.”
Kahler Automation is a trusted technology partner in ag retail, specializing in finding the right solution for facilities seeking competitive advantages through automation, data enterprise, advanced software and control systems.
Its platforms – LOADPASS and Constellation – are designed to streamline operations, ensure traceability, and integrate seamlessly with customers and partner systems. “We support cooperatives, ag retailers, manufacturers, and facility operators across North America, helping the industry move products faster, smarter, and with greater confidence,” Silvers says.
It is understood that data and technology standards and messaging implementation is a long game, and this is certainly true with MixTicket. Still, in the near term there’s plenty of value in being in the room and engaged as part of the working group process that produces these digital tools.
“AgGateway offers a collaborative environment where peers, partners, and even competitors work together to tackle share challenges around data exchange and digital workflows,” Says Kahler Automation Senior Product Manager Trisha Rentschler, who currently sits on the MixTicket working group. “Our involvement has helped us explore how standards can enable better product data alignment, improved load tracking, and long-term system interoperability.”
“Working alongside other agtech leaders ensures we are not solving problems in isolation,” Rentschler adds. “It fosters alignment across platforms and drives smarter, more scalable solutions.”
Recently, Kahler has gotten involved in AgGateway’s Entity ID initiative, which has engaged nearly two dozen agriculture organizations working to deliver a standardized way to identify products, locations, and business entities across systems.
“The results of this effort would reduce errors, speed up integrations, and simplify data migration, which are all critical needs as we scale platforms like Constellation,” Rentschler says. “It’s not just a concept – we see it as a tangible benefit that will help us deliver better outcomes for our customers and partners.”
