AgGateway, the agriculture industry’s global data interoperability solutions organization, is once again offering an opportunity for a limited number of students to attend its Annual Conference this fall at no cost. As a non-profit organization that highly values education for digital agriculture solutions, AgGateway will select several students nominated by professors and agricultural companies to be our guest at the event. Nominations are due by September 15.
As a young professional in the Ag Technology industry, it is very difficult to point yourself towards a company or role that will be both sustaining and rewarding due to the dynamic nature of our field. For me, the Gateway to Ag Careers program opened my eyes to the vast number of opportunities within Agriculture, and helped me identify my niche within the marketplace. Even years after this event, I have maintained contact with my mentor and other colleagues I met in the program. I would recommend GTAC to any young person looking to further their exposure and build lasting relationships.

This year’s conference will take place at the Wyndham Grand–Clearwater Beach, November 14-16, Clearwater Beach, Florida, USA. The Annual Conference attracts IT and business executives throughout the agricultural industry.
The grant will provide each awarded student with roundtrip airfare, accommodations at the conference hotel, and conference registration fees. We are looking for high achieving, mature students from ag and/or IT departments who will benefit from the experience of meeting major eBusiness drivers in agriculture.
Sponsored by the AgCIO Roundtable, the grants offers students the chance to meet industry executives and decision makers, engage in network building with key implementers, and participate in conversations that determine the future of data connectivity in agriculture.
Faculty or company advisors are asked to submit nominations via email using the application to AgGateway’s Member Services team by September 15. Award letters will be issued shortly after this date. Students must then verify acceptance of these awards.
During the conference, students will be paired with a mentor – an AgGateway member with whom they will attend the various conference presentations and meetings. In addition to networking with attendees, the students will have valuable one-on-one time with members of the AgCIO Roundtable. This will be a prime opportunity for participating students to ask questions and gain valuable insights about our member organizations and the industry. We look forward to reviewing the nominations and welcoming another excellent slate of future industry leaders at this year’s conference!
