AgGateway is inviting any interested stakeholder to join any of the upcoming open meetups on three topics of significant interest to agriculture stakeholders:
Members are invited to participate in any or all these virtual meetups, which are designed to examine the topic in detail and set a course for next steps. These meetups are also open to non-members as well, so members are encouraged to invite non-member partners and stakeholders with an interest in the topical area.
Below are specific details on the topics:
18 September, 9 AM Central US
Several member discussions from a variety of industry segments have expressed interest in reviewing and updating the contract message. This meetup will be an open discussion to review the feasibility of a harmonized contract or continuing with separate messages by segment and what updates and changes are needed for each. The primary objectives will be to determine interest in creating a new working group to address the topic, and if there is sufficient interest we will document initial ideas on scope, deliverables, timeline etc.

17 September, 9 AM Central US
Several years ago, an AgGateway team created the dispensing work order and work record messages to help standardize the data exchange with blending or mixing software systems.
This call will focus on reviewing what exists today, collecting feedback from implementers or others that have chosen not to implement. The intent is to use this feedback to determine if a new working group is needed to update or enhance the messages or if everything is working as intended. If issues are identified and there is interest in trying to fix them we will document initial ideas on scope, deliverables, timeline etc. for a working group.

AgGateway is inviting any interested stakeholder to join an open meetup to review remote sensing metadata standards. At the tail end of the SPADE projects a group created an initial draft of a “Post Image Collection Specification” that established a metadata specification for things like band information from multispectral imagery in a GeoTIFF file. The intent was to improve the useability of imagery data by better documenting the information. For a variety of reasons, the project was not fully published. This call will review the project goals and the current state of documentation and resources to determine if there is value in creating a team to update and complete the work.
