By Jose Loyola, Regional Director
The Latin America Region of AgGateway held a successful member workshop on 20 August at the Eldorado Research Institute in Campinas-Sao Paulo, Brazil. Themed “Data Interoperability Challenges in the Carbon Chain in Agriculture,” attendees enjoyed high-value networking and informative lectures from regional experts.
The slate of presenters included Renato Rodrigues from the Agoro Carbon Alliance, Fábio Angelis from Agrorobótica, Eduardo Assad and Talita Priscila Pinto from the Bioeconomy Department at FGVAgro and Sandra Furlan Rodrigues from Embrapa Meio Ambiente.
On behalf of AgGateway leadership, I would like to thank the speakers and all members for their participation, for believing in the purpose of the organization, and committing themselves to the cause of interoperability. Participation in the in-person and online meetings, workshops, and projects were very strong and served to demonstrate that commitment. Experiencing this meeting made it clear to me that we will continue to collaborate and work to overcome the many challenges we face and embrace the opportunities in front of us in digital agriculture.
