We’re excited to announce that registration is open for AgGateway’s 2021 Annual Conference, November 8-10, in Nashville, Tennessee, USA. The in-person conference will feature an array of sessions and networking opportunities for companies seeking to realize the many benefits of digital agriculture. Corteva Makes Major Contribution to Improve Interoperability in Agriculture

AgGateway’s ADAPT open-source community continues its steady progress on improving the ADAPT framework and various plugins. The result of that progress is better interoperability in agriculture between different software and hardware applications.

A few years ago, Proagrica’s Steve Hipwell led an effort to automate a process that watched for contributed code to be accepted by the ADAPT technical team and then compile that code, test it, post it to a service convenient for developers to access, and then notify developers of its availability. Automated processes of this type are often referred to as a CI/CD pipeline (continuous integration/continuous deployment). Read more >

Leaf: Developer Tools for Agriculture

AgGateway welcomes Leaf Agriculture, a company focused on providing farm data infrastructure as a service to help agtech companies focus on their core products and users.

According to Leaf CEO G. Bailey Stockdale, software developers use Leaf’s API to:

  • become compatible with all major agriculture brands via a single integration
  • translate proprietary machine data files
  • import, export and reconcile field boundaries from other platforms
  • retrieve and serve imagery from multiple providers
  • organize and manage their user’s data
  • solve many other use cases.

AgGateway Participates in Major Agtech Events in Latin America

I was pleased to represent AgGateway at the second edition of Summit Agrihub on August 27, an event hosted by our associate member Agrihub, in Cuiabá/MT Brazil. I participated on a panel with other agribusiness professionals to discuss the challenges of expanding access to new digital technologies among rural producers in Latin America. Read more >

“Be Prepared”

The motto “Be Prepared” is one that many of us heard growing up, especially if you belonged to the Boy Scouts of America organization. Someone once asked Baden-Powell, the founder of Scouting, “Be prepared for what?” His response was, “Any old thing”. But he then went on to say, “The Scout motto means that you were always in a state of readiness in mind and body to do your duty and face danger, if necessary, to help others.” Read more >
