AgGateway Releases Brief Introductory Video on ADAPT, its Data Interoperability Solution for Agriculture 

Industry group provides direction for companies to use the open-source tool

Washington, D.C., June 28, 2018 – AgGateway has released a 2-minute introductory video that shares basic information on the AgGateway ADAPT Framework, an open source software project that is designed to simplify communication between growers, their machines and their partners. The video, which can be found at https://ADAPTFramework.org/adapt-videos, answers general questions about what ADAPT is and how it works. The goal of the video is to encourage software developers to adopt ADAPT within their products. Widespread use of the ADAPT framework will provide farmers with more choice in the systems they use while reducing costs for those systems to effectively “talk to each other”. The framework was developed within the non-profit AgGateway forum as a collaborative industry project, in order to tackle the long-standing challenge of seamless communication between systems. [...]

AgGateway’s Quick Connect Session in June Jump-Starts eConnectivity and its Benefits

Washington, D.C., May 3, 2018 – AgGateway will present a “Quick Connect” session featuring face-to-face meetings between trading partners at its upcoming Mid-Year Meeting in Altoona, Iowa, June 11-14. The Quick Connect Session, which gives ag retailers, distributors, manufacturers and their software vendors the opportunity to meet and determine next steps in establishing electronic connections, will take place June 12, 1:00-5:20 pm. These connections streamline transactions in such areas as price sheets, sales reporting, booking, delivery, invoicing and inventory management, in order to cut costs, and to boost efficiency, accuracy and productivity. Precision Ag Irrigation Gets Major Boost as AgGateway Releases Proposed Standard to ASABE for National Review

Washington, D.C., March 19, 2018 – AgGateway has submitted its proposed irrigation data exchange standard to the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE), a major achievement in precision agriculture to help growers manage data from their irrigation management systems. The standard is the result of AgGateway’s collaborative PAIL precision ag irrigation project, an initiative to help growers more easily evaluate their weather, soil and crop data to make more informed decisions about when, where and how much water to apply – resulting in smarter energy and water use, and lowering costs while protecting or improving yield. AgGateway and ResponsibleAg Offer New Capability for Rapid, Automated Look-Up of Certified Fertilizer Facilities

Washington, D.C., January 2, 2018 — AgGateway and ResponsibleAg have collaborated on new look-up functionality that allows fertilizer manufacturers, distributors and retailers to quickly and automatically confirm that fertilizer locations they are doing business with are certified for safe fertilizer storage and handling. Certified locations are now included in AgGateway’s Ag Industry Identification System (AGIIS), a database that houses agricultural reference data for industry subscribers. AGIIS is used widely by crop nutrition companies to provide location and product identifiers that allow for the automated exchange of data between agri-businesses. Call for Participation: AgGateway’s 2018 Grain Traceability Proof-of-Concept

Washington, D.C., January 12, 2018 — AgGateway’s Precision Agriculture and Grain & Feed councils have issued a call for participation for a proof-of-concept initiative in AgGateway’s ongoing grain traceability project; the deadline is January 23 to express interest in participating. The Commodity Automation by Rail and Truck (CART) Project’s 2018 proof-of-concept will build on recent efforts related to commodity transfer from source container to target containers, duration of the transfer, and method of the transfer.
